About Us

David is our firm’s director and based in London. With a background in real estate, business and property investment, he founded CPRA after working for some of the world’s biggest real estate consultancies. David acts as the most senior point of contact for CPRA’s thousands of valued clients whilst managing our national team of surveyors. In his spare time, David can be found hiking, cycling, skiing, cooking, doing DIY and binging on historical dramas.

Thaiba Rashid holds the position of Senior Operations Manager at CPRA. After completing a degree in Business Management she decided to embark on a career in marketing, operations and CRM management within real estate. Thaiba maintains Cosmos, which is CPRA’s custom-built commercial property database and CRM. In her spare time, Thaiba enjoys cooking, true crime documentaries puzzles, swimming, pilates and studying languages. Thaiba is also passionate about supporting charities including Cancer Research, helping the homeless, and children’s hospitals.

Robin Foulds holds the position of Associate in our national business rates team. With a background in IT and real estate, Robin has been a specialist rating surveyor for over ten years. Robin covers London and South East England and specialises in office, retail and industrial valuations. In his spare time, Robin enjoys bouldering, mountain biking, international cinema and documentaries and filming content for his own YouTube series.

James Burkitt holds the position of Associate in our national business rates team. James originally embarked on a career in Music before subscribing to a long-standing family tradition of becoming a chartered surveyor. James provides business rates and lease advice to some of the world’s biggest companies occupying offices, warehouses, factories and distribution centres. Before joining CPRA James held the role of Lead Valuer within the Specialists Industrial Unit of the Valuation Office Agency. James covers the Midlands, Yorkshire, Wales and the North West. In his spare time, James, who confesses to being a “Rating Geek” follows property news and case law, keeping CPRA at the forefront of any changes to property taxation.

Lauren Newby holds the position of Senior Advisor and acts as a point of contact for new enquiries and existing clients. Lauren began her career in property at a multinational surveying firm before moving to CPRA to specialise in UK commercial property services. She is known for providing exceptional customer service and for being an avid notetaker. In her spare time, Lauren can be found listening to music, mixing cocktails and enjoying travel.

Michael Powell holds the position of Associate Director in our national business rates team. Mike has been involved in property and Rating for most of his life and joined his family firm whilst still in his teens. Mike enjoyed a career as a commercial agent in the North of England before becoming a specialist in business rates taxation which he is deeply passionate about. Twenty years later Mike is now regarded by many as a national expert in hospitality and leisure valuations and his appeal victories for pubs and hotels across the country are unrivalled. In his spare time Mike enjoys anything to do with cars, holidays in Cornwall and family-time.
