James is a Senior Surveyor in our national business rates team. James completed a BA (Hons) in Music before subscribing to the long-standing Burkitt family tradition and attaining an MSc in Real Estate to become a chartered surveyor. James provides business rates advice to some of the UK’s biggest companies occupying offices, warehouses and factories. Before joining CPRA James held the role of Lead Valuer within the Specialists Industrial Unit of the Valuation Office Agency. James covers the Midlands,Yorkshire, Wales and the North West. In his spare time, James, who confesses to being a “Rating Geek” follows the most recent commercial property news, data and case law, keeping CPRA at the forefront of any changes to business rates taxation.
